Cook Night Video: Chilaquiles

Hello Rio School District Families,
Please enjoy this cook night video! This cook night is extra special to me as I was joined by my grandmother, who is also a Rio School District alum. My grandmother has taught me how to cook as well as inspired my learning how to garden. She would prepare home-cooked meals for our family daily and I would often catch her outside pruning her roses or taking care of her plants.

I truly believe cooking is a time to slow down and learn from one another as traditions and flavors are passed between generations.

My grandmother and I deveined and removed the seeds from our jalapenos by hand in this video- I do suggest you use a spoon to scrape the insides out rather than your fingers, as I am still cautious to rub my eyes.
