Research Partners

The Rio School District is actively engaged in conducting and utilizing research to inform and improve our organization. Currently we are engaged in the following collaborative research activities:

  • Research on Computational Thinking with the University of California, Santa Barbara, Dr. Danielle Harlowe
  • Research on Design Sciences with the University of California, Santa Barbara, Dr. Danielle Harlowe
  • Research on Learning in Mathematics and the impact of software and online tutors with Arizona State University
  • Research on Inquiry-Based Instructional Design with Dr. Elizabeth Yeager

We are also pursuing evaluative research proposals to examine our Dual Immersion Language Academy at Rio Real Elementary School.
