This league aims to create an inclusive environment where students of all skill levels can participate, challenge themselves, and develop lifelong habits of active living.

Goals

  • Encourage physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among K-8 students.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, and mutual support within and between schools.
  • Develop self-confidence and perseverance by challenging students to meet personal and team goals.
  • Provide a structured and enjoyable platform for students to engage in outdoor activities and develop a lifelong love for running and fitness.

Students will compete in their respective age groups, fostering a supportive and engaging environment that promotes physical fitness and school spirit. This series of meets provides a platform for students to set personal goals and work as a team while enjoying the thrill of competition.

Community Run - After the student races on October 30 & November 8 at Rio Vista - Rio Del Mar, parents, faculty, staff, coaches, and principals are invited to participate in the "Community Run". This event is an excellent opportunity for the entire Rio School District community to come together, celebrate fitness, and build school spirit. (Participants will need to sign a waiver)

We encourage everyone to join us, cheer on the students, and be part of the fun during the community runs. Whether you're an experienced runner or just joining for the experience, it's a fantastic way to support our young athletes!
