Rio School District Battle of the Books Competition

Rio School District hosted its 1st Annual Battle of the Books competition. We would like to acknowledge all the teams that participated and congratulate those teams that placed. A special congrats to those teams that will advance to the Ventura County Office of Education County Battle of the Books Competition. 

Advancing in 3rd-5th Grade English is Rio Del Sol - Team Murrillo. 
Advancing in 6th-8th Grade English is Rio Del Valle - Team Preciado.
Advancing in 6th-8th Grade English is Rio Real - Team Melchor.
Advancing in 3rd-6th Grade Spanish is Rio Real - Team Ferrer.
Advancing in 3rd-6th Grade Spanish is Rio Real - Team Pazos.

What is Battle of the Books? It is a trivia-style game in which Rio School students in grades 3rd-5th and 6th-8th answer questions about books they have read from the Ventura County Office of Education Battle of the Books list. The event encourages students to read a variety of genres and books and have fun!
