Office of Student and Family Services Wish List

The district’s OSFS works hard to meet the needs of the student and families in the Rio community and is always grateful for community support. If you have any of items that you’d like to donate, OSFS is happy to accept them on behalf of the students in the district. The district also welcomes volunteers who are interested in sharing their time and expertise.

Donation opportunities
OSFS holds monthly distribution events where families can receive clothing and other needed items.

There is an ongoing need for:
-Children’s clothing, laundered and in good condition
-Children’s shoes
-Reading books
-School supplies

Volunteer opportunities
-Cultural Committee
We are interested in starting a committee of volunteers who will be dedicated to planning and promoting cultural awareness activities within the district.

-Art docents
We are looking for a volunteer to organize an art docent committee and to plan artwork activities within the schools.

We’re looking for adults who can teach Community Day School students how to play chess.

We are looking for adults who can tutor students of various grade levels in the areas of math, language arts, writing, reading, science and history.
