After School Program Application Reopens August 12th

Rio’s after school program (EXPLORE) for the 2024-2025 school year application window will re-open on August 12th, please keep an eye out for a parent square message.

The EXPLORE after school program operates on all days that school is in session from the time of school dismissal until 6pm. The program provides afternoon snack, homework help, academic enrichment, physical fitness and social emotional learning opportunities. Transportation to Nyeland and Wagon Wheel neighborhoods is available.

Student groups with priority enrollment include: 1) English learners, 2) those eligible for free or reduced priced meals, 3) those experiencing homelessness, and 4) foster youth.

Site coordinators notify families of acceptance - August 30th
