In trimester 2, Rio Vista 6th graders have a unique opportunity to witness the birth and early life stages of Rainbow Trout through participation in the Trout in the Classroom Program developed by the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG). In the process, the students will learn important concepts while developing caring attitudes about the fish and their habitats. The goal of this program to help young people to become good stewards of all our aquatic resources while learning about the effects of human impact.
