The Learning Priority (LP) Reading Register has several aims:

  1. Eliminating the black box of the points system and making it clear to all involved.
  2. Providing student choices to produce meanings or express meanings after reading a book rather than just taking a basic comprehension quiz to account for or prove they understood what they read.
  3. To create a social media platform where children can interact with the products, ratings, and ideas of other students and while serving as a register for the adults also serves as a social space to connect to peers reading and engagement with reading.

The reading register is an area of LP that children go after they have read a book. Following reading the book they will have a choice of 5 activities they can do to earn points within the system.
