The Rio School District is embarking on a process of developing and refining a profile of a learner. The profile of a learner is an in depth description and guide of what our community and organization want to help children develop during their time in our school District. This is the second time we’ve worked on this process in the last twelve years.
A Profile of a Rio Learner represents our district’s collective vision for the 21st century skills, character traits, and/or social-emotional competencies that students need to succeed in college, career, and life.
As part of the Profile of a Learner process, we need to hear certificated, community, and student voices to create a complete profile. On opening day, certificated voices were heard as they built profiles from their perspective. We heard our community voices during the community workshop on September 16th. We heard our student voices during the student workshop on October 16th. Now it is time for us to bring all these ideas together and create the profile of a learner.
