Tessellations
Do you know what is the definition of tessellation and what does it take to create one? When a geometric shape is repeated over and over again, covering a plane of tiles without any gaps or overlaps, it results in a tessellation – a mosaic pattern of a mesmerizing visual effect. This Tessellations art activity is inspired by the artist MC Escher and it works on drawing the principles of Design: pattern, repetition and unity. We hope you enjoy the lesson.
