What does leadership of 21st century educational organizations require?

For more than a decade it’s been my pleasure and education to teach as adjunct professor in educational leadership programs for two local universities. Recently, I just completed a school law class for both K-12 and Higher Education Masters students. They were an outstanding group of folks and brought diverse thinking and perspectives to the challenge of learning about school law cases and practice in 2017. Knowledge: legal foundations, governance, budget, technology, diversity, politics, social justice, regulations, local, state and federal policy, impact on special populations, the past

Attributes: Patience, tenacity, empathy, passion, innovation, commitment to integrity, justice, equity, tolerance, vision of collaboration, community, critical thinking, flexibility, dynamic, willingness to be source of progress, firm ethical and moral code.

Skills: Communication, guidance, adaptation to change in politics and culture, collaboration
