“For My People”

(Inspired by “For My People”poem by Margaret Walker)

This is for my people that had a hard time in life,

with big hearts

and caring to help people.

For my people,

who can’t speak Spanish,nor English

who try to do what is right.

For my people,

who are the ones that know how to cook

who are able to speak two languages.

For my people,

who are willing to help each other

who are the ones who fight for each other.

For my people,

keep working hard to complete your goal!

This is for my people,

that are Martial Artists

with black belts

and are proud.

For my people,

who may get injured but still keep going

who practice everyday to get better and better.

For my people,

who work hard to get to their next belt

who are striving to meet their goals.

For my people,

who face challenges everyday

who are talented in many ways.

For my people,

Never give up!

For My People

(Inspired by “For My People” poem by Margaret Walker)

This is for my people that had to overcome obstacles,

with loving words

and cherishing one another.

For my people,

who are known as criminals

who are living poor.

For my people,

who are good in the kitchen

who are athletic in sports.

For my people,

who are fighting for what they believe in

who are encouraging each others to succeed.

For my people,

don’t  let anything or anyone stop you from your dreams.

This is for my people who are woman,
with long hair,
and make up.

For my people,
who aren’t strong enough,
who can’t do anything because they’re  weak.

For my people,
who are smart and educated,
who are sensitive but strong.

For my people,
who are funny and caring,
who are fighting for lives.

For my people,
That tries and does the impossible.

This is for my people who love shopping,

with friends and family

and who are loud.

For my people,

who are talkative and annoying

who may be generous and friendly.

For my people,

who are joyful

who are laughing.

For my people,

who are  clever

who are energetic.

For my people,

keep shopping!

“For My People”

Inspired from “For My People” by Margaret Walker

This is for my people that play football,

with the NFL

and my football players who play hard.

For my people,

Who play very dumb and don’t play very good

who don’t play very hard and play very good.

For my people,

Who are my best friends in my football team

who are the ones that do the right choice.

For my people,

Who do very well in the team and otherwise

Who moved away after the football season was over.

For my people,

keep going my friends!!,  do positive things.

You are the light that makes my day so bright

You always make the bad times go away.

I wish I could see you all day and night

And when I’m not with you my day is grey

A day with you is just a paradise

If you were a celeb, I’d be your fan

And for you, I will even roll the dice

If you left me, I’d wish wish Id be your man

If I were a genie you’d get a wish

You absolutely have the biggest heart

For you, I would even smell like a fish

Anything you do is a piece of art

If you would ever leave me, I would break

And then forevermore, my heart would ache

My favorite sport in the world is soccer

It is fun to play scrimmages and games

To begin you get our cleats from your locker

Then you learn all of your team mates names

Eleven boys on the field makes a team

When you receive the ball, aim for the net

This sport is not as easy as it seems

But practice makes perfect so no need to fret

it is played with a round, black and white ball.

It is played in big fields with thick white lines

it is fun whether you are tall or small

also, you don’t have to be dressed to the ties

its the most beautiful game in the world

If you disagree, your brain must be weird

The day we were born

The day we were born we had courage and ,

our soul was fresh with life and no mistakes.

People in life have made regrets , my hand

is scar-free yet the people I know have aches .

Pain from their body’s being different , wanting

to look like others when you are original .

Our looks aren’t something people can be taunting

we can’t act as if were invisible .

Being called names isn’t worth using your blade ,

wasting your day on useless time for this .

Since they started to realize it ,we’ll trade

you can make a choice if you want to exists .

She wrote to me telling me its help she needs ,

when in life I tried and failed to please.

She makes me feel perfect

She makes me feel perfect when

ever Ive waken up from my slumber

Once I came home from a hard day of school

she hugs me

She cooks a decent meal and I always say

“Thank you for the splendid meal”

I always think of you everywhere I go

If someone tells me to do something

I say “No!”

Cause I will have to save up my strength

For a lovely and important lady

You

Are the wind beneath my wings

ever since you held me in your arms

and

have taken very good care of me.
